Mississippi Disaster Help

 

1.  The Mississippi Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) have Counselors who will help you prepare and package your forms. To find the closest MSBDC office near you, please visit Contact a Counselor on our website or call 1-800-725-7232. 

2.  To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance contact Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at www.fema.gov or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), TTY 1-800462-7585 for people with speech or hearing disabilities.  The locations of Disaster Recovery Centers and the loan application process 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for people with speech or hearing disabilities), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EDT or send an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.   

3. Business owners who are unable to visit a center can obtain loan information and application forms by calling SBA's Customer Service Center at 800.659.2955, or 800. 877.8339 for the hearing impaired, e-mailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov, or by visiting SBA's Web site at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.  Businesses can also apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure Web site at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.

5.  Important Deadlines for filing SBA applications pertaining to Severe Storms, Tornadoes and Flooding which occurred April 23rd through April 24th Notice:  

Filing Deadline for applications for:

  • Physical damage to homes, personal property, businesses:   June 28, 2010
  • Filing Deadline for applications for Economic Injury:  January 29, 2011
