Working with the government can be lucrative for businesses, but does require additional knowledge regarding the process. Further, certain underserved populations are prioritized by the government for contracts.
The Mississippi Small Business Development Center can guide you through the nuances of contracting with the government. We offer workshops and one-on-one counseling to connect businesses to the resources necessary to successfully contract with governmental entities. The Mississippi SBDCs can also connect your business to resources that assist in obtaining certain certifications, including HUBZone, Women-Owned and Minority Certifications, and Veteran Owned, to prioritize your business in contracting.
